Yo Dawg.
When the first season of American Idol started in 2002, we saw a need to find a way to become more personally involved with the show. We started the original Fantasy American Idol league. There were four of us on two teams. It was so wonderful that we kept it a secret.
A few seasons ago we decided it was too selfish of us to keep such a gem undercover so we moved it to the world wide inter-web. No more e-mailing Word documents back and forth. We called it IdolSchmidol because FantasyAmericanIdol was already taken.
Today, we are not only the original Fantasy American Idol league, we are the most exclusive, competitive and comprehensive fantasy idol league on the web. Tell all your friends.

Final 3 thoughts from Mrs. Commish
It's the final three, baby! Let's all muster some phony excitement here. I am not a Scotty fan, but he does seem like a nice guy and appreciative of the opportunity. I love Lauren and Haley for different reasons and I hope one of them wins. What is Lauren wearing? That looks like one of Drew's superheroes. It's like a red napkin/cape?BEYONCE! I love Beyonce. I watched her live performance special on TV and my jaw was on the floor. What that woman do...

Final 5 Recap
Tonight, I am sitting down with Mrs. Commish and her mother, Mother-In-Law Commish. Maybe I will get some good comments out of her if she can stay awake. Looks like it is Sheryl Crow week. That could be a good thing. Oh wait. They aren't singing Sheryl Crow songs. Nevermind. Well if they can't sing the songs in honor of Sheryl Crow, maybe the stylist can make all of the contestants look like two-faces - kind of pretty in some light and kind of like Christopher Walken in other light. James Durbin...

FINAL 6 Recap (Part 1)
Mrs. Commish has some book club meeting tonight. Book club is something I don't understand. I like the idea of clubs. Just not the idea of reading books. That is why I watch American Idol. Anyways, this means that I am finally sitting down alone to make my own comments on the show. I got the kids in bed and threatened them to make sure they don't come back out and interrupt my comments.
So. The final six ... hold on ...
(10 minutes later)
Sorry. Apparently my threats weren't grave enough. I u...

TOP 7: Music of the 21st Century (kind of)
Ok folks. I am back in the driver's seat. Sorry I have been slacking so much this season. Actually, I am not sorry at all. This is American Idol we are talking about. Actually, not just American Idol - but a Fantasy American Idol league. Not that I am ashamed to have dreamed this up with friends 10 seasons ago, but I have to remind myself that sometimes actual work should come before fantasy reality TV. But that time is done. I can now return to my love of watching Jennifer Lopez ... ehrr...

Better Late Than Never: Mrs. Commish's thoughts on the Final 8
Last week, Mrs. Commish took the time to type out her comments as the show went by. I was actually watching with her this time, but I was still jet-lagged from my trip to the land of the Cardigans and Ace of Base - so I wasn't awake enough to type anything. Actually, I was so out of it, I forgot to post these comments. So here you go ...

Mrs. Commish on the Final 9
So this time I am posting from a hotel in Varberg, Sweden. It feels like I have been here forever - probably because I have. And all this time that I have been eating meatballs, Mrs. Commish has been home running around like crazy with the little commishes. Somehow, she is still amazing enough to write up her comments for the performances and send them to me. I don't know how she does it - but my guess is that she draws her inspiration from watching Jacob Lusk. Normally I would have used the nam...

Thoughts from the Final 11
To keep up my tradition this year of being completely out of it, I am posting this blog from a small hotel in Goteborg, Sweden. I have no clue what happened in the show last night - but luckily Mrs. Commish was home taking notes. I don't think she made it through the whole show before passing out from exhaustion, but here are the notes she sent me.
FROM MRS. COMMISH ...
Hi everyone. We have been sadly absent this season thanks to an especially grueling travel schedule so tonight I am goi...

TOP 12 RECAP: "Make You Feel Old Night"
Last night we were able to see some of the back story for each of the remaining contestants. They all had to pick a song that came out in the year they were born. They do this just to remind us that we are too old to be watching this show. I am currently on spring break so my comments will be short.
Naima (1984) chose What's Love Got To Do With It after showing that her family has a very limited wardrobe. That first verse was possibly the most boring sounding first verse since Haley Scarnato. O...
